Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Gameplay Appreciation

Gameplay(single player) The story jumps right into action as usual, the infinity ward team usually never disappoints and they still don't. The action is fluid, as a gamer I don't see frame rate issues character models are there when you are constantly laying waste to the enemy around you. The gameplay never seems choppy or one sided, never a level that gives you a bored feeling, from using snow mobiles to shooting down helis with the rocket launchers its never dull as far as the single player goes. Guns look amazing, as the bullets spray and it always feels accomplishing every time you lay down a tango. Epic storyline can't go wrong here. Oh the curve will take 5 minutes tops and difficulty is upon you, I'm currently running through it on hardened.

Gameplay(Online) Now, I don't have the privilege to play online as much as the average joe with a 360 or PS3 but the glimpses and play through that I have gotten shows off a grand improvement, even though there wasn't much to improve over COD4. The environments call for more tactic as some of the sceneries can make it quite difficult to spot an opponent. Thats if they are camping which can get lame pretty quickly. Though, it can be tough to spot people even out in the open so keep your 20/20 or if u have better or worse vision peeled. Online is fun if you know what you are doing and harsh to those that are beginners. All in all Gameplay is as good as it gets for an fps with this game single player or multi-player. LOTS OF GAME MODES TO CHOOSE FROM NO WAY YOU CAN GET BORED. At least any time soon.

Hand Held Game to look for in 2010 or 2011

Kingdom Hearts has always been a great series to me, the fast paced action and rpg elements with the Disney aspects into it, it satisfies any gamers need. The handheld psp version will hit stores either late this year or next year( here's hoping this year), and folks you neeed a copy asap when it is released. Three more unique characters are added to the mix as they try find their master and go throw the worlds of Disney and beyond as the adventures unfold to why things are the way they are now, and more history on the keyblades and it's users.

What you should spend your after Christmas money on....

Darksiders: If you are not aware of this game, YOU BETTER GET AWARE. This game explodes with elements of God of War and more, the weaponry and the setting itself should jump out into your face, the game looks beautiful, from the main character to his stead and onto the large villains you must defeat. This game screams out under appreciated, don't pass up this game it comes out early January. Be ready to fend off hordes of demons, solve puzzles and even grind out battles with angels as you work your way to finding who decimated the world as we know it. War looks like he will be awesome to play, apocalypse setting what more do you need???

Bayonetta: At first i thought it seemed like a cheap gimmick of Ninja gaiden with a women. It is most definately NOT, after playing the demo and watchin the sweet scenes and combos that are possible I now have a totally different perception of this game. Not this may come off as an easy hack-n-slash game, but knowing me, how I more often than not would spend money on a bad one, I recommend this to those fans, it is more in depth than most, the enemies you face are out of this world and the cut scenes are stylish beyond what I expected. If you have extra cash after the holidays swoop this up it will hold you over until Mass Effect.

Left 4 Dead 2

O Lords is I in Heaven?

Not really no, however life on earth has certainly been made more interesting with the recent release of Left 4 Dead 2. To the untrained eye it appears to be a simple rehash, but a close look reveals the amount of work was put in to make this game greater than the previous. First, let’s talk about characters. A new game brings new people to fight the infection and I believe that the developers at Valve did a great job. The characters seem more like normal people this time around, from Ellis’s (a typical southern car mechanic) random stories to Coach’s (a high school football coach. Obvious, ain’t it?) angry shouts of wanting armor these small voice sequences really add to the game.

Of course there has been a lot of talk about the new infected and they don’t disappoint in game play. The interesting addition of “Uncommon” infected (variants on standard hoard infected) is a real twist. Nothing was more annoying than seeing a riot officer in full armor as my bullets bounced off. While the first game taught players how good it was to stick together, the new special infected present a new challenge to new and old players. Mostly their offensive capabilities are made to drive a spike in the party. For example, the Jockey (an insane midget that jumps on survivors and can start to move them) will force players away from each other and by proxy, safety. Another great one is the Charger (a massive critter built like the Tank) smashes into the group, forcing a rethink on the idea of camping for safety.

While talking of camping, Valve has come up with interesting strategies to combat this tried and true gaming habit with more changes to the norm. Climax Events are no longer about simply holing up till the zombies stop coming, some events require the group to run to an objective. For example, opening an alarmed door then racing to shut it off. Ideas like this keep the fighting of the infected fresh and fun.

New items and weapons continue the innovation of the zombie outbreak. Melee weapons are great simply because they require no ammo (except the chainsaw…sadness) and new firearms make more combinations within a group of heroes. Guns are now semi-upgradeable with special ammo and laser sights, these lasers are a godsend for stopping friendly fire. New items, how about new modes too? With the scavenger mode players must gather supplies while playing against infected players who are trying to stop them, more outside the box thinking.

Overall this is a great game for anybody who liked the first and anybody thinking of playing it. Maybe I just think too much but the little details of the game really made it a great experience for me. If I am to have one complaint it is the AI is still rather… sub par the computer survivors don’t really stay close and are prone to walking off cliffs, as I found out, but this won’t stop me from getting together with my friends and playing (as they still walk off cliffs…Maybe it is accurate of human behavior) Left 4 Dead 2 Gets my full support
